Agapi Sbokou is co-owner and CEO of Phāea Resorts (ex-Sbokos Hotel Group), a leading, privately-owned hotel company with 4 resorts in Crete. Agapi has an extensive experience in the hospitality industry for almost 20 years. In her previous capacity as Director of Sales and Marketing for Sbokos Hotel Group, she has been in charge of sales, marketing, product development and the strategic positioning for all of the group’s resorts with a special focus on its flagship property, the Blue Palace, a Luxury Collection Resort Elounda, Crete. Since 2011 she is an elected member of the board of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) and the Vice President of Marketing Greece, private sector’s initiative to promote Greece as a modern and exciting tourism destination. Since 2020 she is also Vice President of the Institute of Greek Tourism Confederation (INSETE) which its main objectives are the education, the scientific support with studies and the support of entrepreneurship in the tourism sector. She has been a member of Starwood Resort Advisory Group for several years; currently a member of the European Distribution Strategy Advisory Council of Marriott International, and of the Marriott Business Council inGreece. She is also a member of the Hellenic Initiative Against Alzheimer’s Disease. Before joining the family company in 2001, Agapi was employed by the National Bank for Industrial Development (ETEBA), the investment arm of the National Bank of Greece and the the law firm Dryllerakis and Associates in Athens. She holds an M.B.A from Cass Business School of City University of London; a B.A. in Law from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens; and speaks English, German, Italian and Greek.
