I am Robert Juntke, VP Food & Beverage, Design and Development for EMEA. I manage a team of creative epicureans consisting of F&B concepts and design development specialists, restaurants and bars connoisseurs, meeting and events experts, and passionate chefs. In my current role, I am responsible for developing and designing food & beverage solutions for Marriott International’s portfolio of brands in EMEA. We create prototypical solutions and initiatives for select service brands, in addition to individual bespoke concepts for premium and luxury hotels. I started off my career journey in F&B operations 25 years ago at different brands like Radisson and Renaissance, to then move to events operations. My events and banqueting journey kicked off in 2001 in my role as a Banqueting Manager in Renaissance Hotel in the UK, and then Director of Event Management for Marriott Hotel in Berlin. After spending 6 years in event operations and 5 years in F&B operations, I took on the opportunity to lead a team of 180 associates within both disciplines at Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel and Conference Center. In 2010, I joined Marriott’ above property team as a Director of Events Management for Europe, where I was responsible for setting up the Events department for the first time in a new continent structure of MI. In 2014, I took over the role of Director of Brand Operations Europe, where I was responsible for deploying new brand positioning for Marriott Hotels and Resorts in Europe which consisted of 96 hotels. Three years later, I was responsible for driving operational excellence in 32 properties as part of my position as an Area Director of Operations for Western Europe. Two years later, I transitioned into the role of VP F&B Design and Development Europe.
