Mark Moody is the Sales Director for Marjan, a Master Developer and Government entity in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. Within his role, Mark assists in the promotion of the Emirate’s varied investment opportunities on a global scale, with the task of delivering foreign direct investment into the region. Hospitality is a particular sector where Ras Al Khaimah is experiencing significant growth today largely due to the success in creating an attractive and diversified designation which is infinitely connected globally. With a need for an additional 15,000 hotel keys over the next 5 years to accommodate the demand for visitors both domestically and internationally, there is a particular focus from the leadership to encourage and nurture investment within the hospitality arena. Significant developments have been announced in Ras Al Khaimah over the past 12 months to aid as catalysts for this growth, most notably the announcement for a fully integrated resort with Wynn Resorts on Al Marjan Island. Mark has built solid experience of over 20 years in the property industry having previously held several senior leadership positions at globally recognized companies. With a strong transactional background on deals in excess of $2bn across hospitality, residential property and alternative investments, (including overseeing international investments), he has global network of retail and institutional investors. Also a well-defined strategic thinker with the ability to advise and influence on acquisitions and development.
