Jonathan is Head of International Hotel Development & Asset Management Specialisations at Glion Institute of Higher Education (Glion) in Switzerland. Glion is consistently ranked amongst the Top 3 hospitality universities in the world. He is passionate about developing the next generation of future leaders. He co-created one of the most comprehensive hotel asset management and development programs, by guiding a team of talented industry and academic professionals. He is the spokesperson and industry liaison for the programs and an honorary member of the Hotel Asset Management Association. He is now also heading up new leadership courses in Glion’s master degree programs in Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and International Hospitality Business. Jonathan is Chairman of HoCoSo – coordinating a team of expert leaders, focused on creating solutions for the future of the hospitality real estate industry. He is motivated by being engaged on a LIVE journey, to find collaborative transformative solutions, with clients, teams, students and partners. During his circa 30 years of experience, he has co-created several ground-breaking and award-winning concepts in industry: he was a pioneer for the Residence Inn by Marriott concept in Europe; co-creator of StayKooooK (winner of the Swiss innovation awards 2019), and collaborator and launch partner for LikeMagic (winner of the European Customer Experience Awards 2022). To share ideas, knowledge, expertise and to open up collaboration, he created and launched three new platforms during 2020: HoCoSo CONNECT, The Hospitality Resilience Series (leadership wellbeing), and hosts the podcast channel the HoCoSo CONVERSATION (leadership inspiration). Jonathan believes the industry is in need of continuous innovation, and seeks to collaborate with those committed to creating solutions for the future – especially on initiatives that fully engage with all stakeholders in the hospitality experience (People, Planet and Profit) and those with a special focus on mental health, wellbeing and community-building.
